let's face it, someone has got to be a loser in a game. and it so happens that lady luck weren't smiling at you this time but so what? i say, heck it! because you know that your conscience is clear and you would not use any despicable methods to win. yet the true loser and also the biggest loser claims the big prize for winning this time. BUT rest assured, luck will eventually run out and besides he can't win all the time; also they say that karma is real.
so cheer up buddy! chin up and lift your head up high because the next time there's another game for play you're going to win it, if not we're going to win it together! :)
Paris Hilton's new reality tv series. My New BFF is now showing on MTV.COM, heh. for those who adore bimbos and their dumb traits you will probably love the show, alot. i am only at episode 2 and i already feel like thrashing the show off my playlist. gee* dumb girls, really dumb.
in episode 2, Paris's BFFs challenge was to put their party stamina to the test because to be Paris's BFF you will have to party hard and long. super dumb!! they went from one club to another then finally ended up on a yatch and partied till morning and then went for a country club event straight after. lawl!
kinda reminds me of how i used to party with my friends. :D i had my fair share of party, and this weekend was one helluva fun. don't know whether am i aging but i twisted my arm while dancing! how stupid right?!! some cheebs fucking banged into my arm when i was waving it around. bastard. okay, ohwell nevermind. it was still fun! :D
love the laser beams, tiu tiu tiu! shoot shooooot shooooot. so it is back to school tomorrow, oh man and the whining begins again.
good morning sunday! and tomorrow is deepavali! which mean it is going to be a public holiday, oh yay. zero monday blues for this week. :D so how was everybody weekend going so far? not too good aye? no worries because you still got this fabulous sunday and monday tomorrow to have fun.
this coming monday is week 9 of 12 weeks for FYP. which also mean that we only have a couple more weeks to work with, time for everything to come together. then when all of these is over, we will start to miss the long lunch breaks and major gossip sharing sessions. ;) i have a feeling that this entry is going to be quite long, so bear with me! i will try not to make this boring, i promise.
on friday. we went on a lunch outing during our break, to botak jones! we meaning, Lisa, Kim, Mahes, Vicky, Wanru, Wanru's friend and myself. it was only a 5 minutes walk there but still, they complained like they were running a marathon. ohwell.
so we ordered our food fast, because everyone was starving; and we took some pictures while waiting. heh, go there a little bit earlier just to avoid the lunch crowd and long queues.
our food came in 20 minutes and it was all worth it, the total bill came up to 51 dollars for a generous serving of food. actually, i don't really like to blog about food. it makes me sound like a glutton, no i don't really eat alot thank you. :)
i had the grilled black pepper chicken! yumms. :) ooooooooooh, and look at Kim!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, her mouth is so bigHUGEgianormouslyCOLOSSALenormousLARGE. okay, see you.
and on saturday. guess what, my house had a blackout and i was home alone. bloody hell. anyway, i had a haircut! took another few more inches off my current length, now i can forget about having long hair for a very long time.
lucky for me Marcus was there to accompany me on saturday. and he has a very bigHUGEgianormouslyCOLOSSALenormousLARGE head, heh. compared to the rest of his body. metaphorically, it is like a watermelon on a toothpick. :D yeah, you know how they always do a slight exaggeration in everything.
and the outcome of my haircut. nothing special la, i didn't go blonde, no need to worry. but one day, right after my internship, i will go blonde.
for those of you, who would spend like hundreds of dollars on eye care products hoping to relieve that dark eye ring or eye bag of yours, THINK AGAIN! i was wondering how i would look like without my eye bags, and goodness i wouldn't want to be friends with myself if i had no eye bags. hahahaha! check it out.
with and without.
zomggg, i know right? ah, enough said. i'm just trying to build up some self-esteem for myself and for those who have very very very bad problems relating to eye bags and dark eye rings.
alright, i think i should continue the rest tomorrow. ;) lastly there is this new singer, Shontelle with her new single T-Shirt. its rather, nice. heh, and the second one is the song Jorge wanted.
allergy reactions from taking some antibiotics i got it 2 days ago from the polyclinic. zomg, this has never happened to me before. this is my second time back to the polyclinic and i am still not fond of it, just everything of it. my first time there was damn fucked up, the doctor was plain unbothered and can't wait to clear all her patients. ahhh, enough said.
there's a new channel up on the 19th October called okto! it is supposedly the new kids central with a longer airing time, heh. no longer have to share with the vasamtham channel! told you i have nothing against indians. :) so anyway! a new cartoon series is showing on the okto channel, called Avatar (The Last Air Bender). it is only new to the channel and it has been around for quite sometime already on the nickelodeon channel. i really did not think much of it until i caught an episode of it on okto just now.
so right now, i'm totally engrossed in this new cartoon series. do give it a chance if you like those nature element manipulation power and special effects. :D
and lastly do you know there was a dutch idol this year? heh. and sadly i am not going to blog about the winner because she's dutch. instead i'm going to blog about the runner up who is also dutch but she's a black dutch. yes, go spot the difference!
watch the video of the finale song, which the winner would get to release it as their own single. titled as Hello World, it is in english not dutch. :D
this girl can sing! other than the fact that she looks like a cannibal from a native tribe; she's a pretty darn good singer. she was exuding overwhelming waves of energy and throughout the song i felt like getting up and jumping around. heh, but its kinda late now.
not that i have something against indians. but indians are indians and they always will be indians, hahahaha! they can never fail at making the ordinary into something extraordinary funny.
a fisherman threw the fishes back into the sea when his wife was ill. to understand emptiness, is what he said to his children.
some of us have a sheltered life, while some have a not so sheltered life. but generally for singaporeans we are what i like to say, fairly sheltered. of deepest meanings and life values is what we don't possess. think having a fairly sheltered life is good? what values we have are mostly taught, but the true meaning of the values are to be experienced through life lessons. among all of us, many became deluded, dysfunctional and ignorant empty vessels because of overly induging arrogance and materialism. of what they know is already everything there is to be, and that is the outcome they blissfully hang on to.
they are lost forever and they will never realise. the pain of losing, the pain to feel emptiness.
thrown into a world of grim and pessimism, forced to grow up by the selfishness you shown so much. of purest of souls and minds may become something, never in your wildest dream you can imagine. it will cease to exist one day when you come to realise what is lacking, then you will come crumbling to your very knees; the sole foundation of your tall posture. that very day, kindness and humanity is what will cease to exist.
just push my limits a little further, mom and dad; and see what you've created.
trick or treat! with halloween approaching at the end of this month, NTUC fairprice have displayed their wide collection of budget costumes and props for the occasion. how i know about it? poly semesters started this week and it's so freaking crowded in school! so we decided to have our lunch at amk instead and after lunch we window shopped at NTUC hence the knowledge. ohwell.
some of the masks actually looked very freaky. and we saw a monster! who bore much resemblance to Nicholas. ahhhhhhh, screams*
nope, he did not buy it in the end although it looked SO GOOD on him. heh! oh and i think my handphone camera is cranky already. the photos taken turned out rather unsaturated and dull at the same time.
i was doing thw world a favor by chopping the terrorist. hehehe! :D but she survived because she wore a metal helmet under her tudong. :X anyway, that's all i'm going to update on and i failed my drving practical which i'm hoping to retake it soon.
the weekend was longer than usual this week because i took MC on friday. :D missed my driving lessons on friday but had them on saturday and sunday, omg! i'm taking my driving practical test tomorrow morning! i'm excited and nervous at the same time, its like a combination of butterflies and moths. so anyway, those who wants to start taking driving lessons make sure you don't get a mean and grumpy instructor. i am always meeting not very nice people in my life, shit, i better start accumulating good deeds or else my karma would get worse.
i wasn't sick on friday, i got MC because i need to get a doctor referral letter to the National Skin Centre. groans* life, please be more interesting. :P so i went out after my visit to the doctor, was at Dohby Ghaut area again for the millionth time in my life. Singapore really need to start getting bigger, i know its impossible anyway. boringggg.
below is the escalator to Fort Canning Park. quite cool right? imagine if the steps on the escalator were carpeted with grass, that would be some really cool shit. after that they can list it as a landmark for tourist destination, travel all the way here to see a garden escalator and by then to ride the escalator you must pay a fee. yay.
nuffnang is promoting for High School Musical 3, getting the nuffnangers to post an entry on their blog saying "Catch High School Musical 3: Senior Year in cinemas from October 24!" zomg. that's not all! also post a video of yourself or your friends dancing and singing to any tune. seriously?
i mean, have you watched superband on channel U? in which aspect does the "super" come in actually? super untalented.
I PRAY HARD THAT I WILL PASS MY DRIVING TOMORROW! i need all the luck in the world man.
hello beautiful people! hahaha. Jorge brought me to Shunji Matsuo's book launch at National Museum on tuesday, and Michelle Chong was the host and she used 'hello beautiful people' as her introduction. lol. she's a 31 year old bimbo barbie doll. random, okay.
anyway! recently i've been hooked onto POKEMON again! it is the emerald version and since i am such an old fart already i had to go get the guide book in order to continue playing the game. *beams* :D i know emerald version is already kind of old but i couldn't make the diamond and pearl verion work on the NDS emulator and yes i go for freebies only.
i just caught the green dragon monster on the cover yesterday, YEAH. i think its called rayquaza, i wouldn't be wrong cause i have guide book now. i caught another legendary pokemon yesterday too, its called kyogre. i am not really sure what it is though, but it looks like a giant blue fish.
and now i'm going for the next legendary pokemon, it is a giant red lizard called groudon.
i know that, Lisa would totally kill to have this book, because she's playing emerald version too!!! heh, fyp is just too god-damn boring and playing pokemon is a good way to pass time in school.
6 more weeks of fyp to go! i can't wait to start on my industrial internship. it is just stifling now, knowing that some lecturers could be so biased to base his judgement of my project on a personal level. fucking annoying, to think that i was even much more benevolent to you when you took offence at me out of nothing. its friday today and i am not going to let it bother me anymore, so have a nice weekend everyone including those biased scums and grudges bearing people. :)
its about 10pm right now, and with a bowl of honey stars in hand i am just enjoying my supper with whatever programme showing on TV now. sense of home is on channel 5 now, and its about singaporean living outside the country.
i'm going to update as the show is being broadcast, heh. anyway, i've decided to write about the show because it is already the season finale and also the first time i am watching the show but more importantly because it is so one-sided! for me i am very sure one day, i will leave singapore and settle somewhere else because i know that life is more than what singapore would make my life to become. i surely, do not wish to join into the flow of stereotypical life of a singaporean working adult. just think about it, about how much this country restrict so much of.. basically everything? this metropolis life, i think i will pass.
but anyway, sense of home aye? haven't found home at home surely. my sense of home, home is with you. although you're far away now but i'm missing you badly and miss every minute we spent together.
lastly here's one video of my all time favourite song, at least one of them. this is Heart Of The Matter by India Arie. exotic name i know, i want to be called africa lee. :) how nice.
an upbeat feel good song, about love that is lost and the things learned about life that was once so clouded by love. this is how we grow.
a very happy children day to all of the young at heart, and also happy birthday to one.
